Trees in New Zealand are often covered with mold or parasites such as the moss. But it looks like from a fairy tale.
Supermoon
At Helen's birthday, we inadvertently managed to take a pictures of the moon, which was the largest over the past several decades.
Wallabies and Hele
For Helen absolutely the greatest experience of all was to pet the kangaroos Bennet in Waimate.

The view from the hill above Lake Tekapo, which is one of the least light-polluted places in the world. Ideal for observing the stars.

U jezera Tekapo byli kachny celkem ochočené a jedli i z ruky.
At Lake Tekapo ducks were tamed and ate out of our hands.
Good bye party with Lida
Our friend Lida was moving out from Christchurch, so we had a nice evening watching sunset and having a little bit of alcohol.
Hickory bay
Hickory Bay is known for its good conditions for surfing because two currents collides here.

This is how Silver Fern looks like. New Zealand National Plant. It's the fern what they have in emblem.

We were glad we got there. 30 km gravel road gave us a total workout.

Ascent to Peak Hill
Celou dobu bylo krásně a když jsme se dostali na vrchol, tak se zatáhlo. No jo, Nový Zéland a počasí, tady to je horší než na horách a o to horší, když jsme na horách. 😀
The whole time it was beautiful but just before we got to the top it clouded over. Well, New Zealand and the weather. Here it is worse than in the mountains and even worse when we're actually in the mountains. 😀

Due to the disturbances in the Air Force museum Helen was pictured as a prisoner on the spot where even other tourists took pictures.

With friends Dan and Lida we headed again to Port Hills just because it is simply beautiful. 🙂
Black trees
On the way to the waterfall we came across a lot of black trees overgrown with a kind of mold.
Frost vs. Sun
Here we spent the night on our way from Kaikoura to Hanmer Springs and when we woke up we had about centimeter layer of ice on the windshield.
Our friend Hedgehog
In the garden Helen found a hedgehog. He seemed to die, but we managed to cure him.
Pier with a boat in Lytteltonu
City center of Lyttelton is not nice at all but when you go little bit more far you can discover a lot of small bays and wonderful places like this.

Lyttelton is a small industrial city and local asians comes here to fish food to their restaurants or just like that for a dinner.

Nowhere else in the world in the woods we weren't in collecting mushrooms, mussels and seen crabs walking.
The journey back to Christchurch
For a trip back to Christchurch we have chosen a different path. It was shorter, but much worst road. Luckily we saw places which we would otherwise miss.
The journey to the town of Akaroa
We drove a lot uphill, downhill and uphill and then more so 1000 times, but it was worth it.

On the pier in New Brighton is a lot of seagulls who like to beg some food from people. They are quite tame, so you can get to them really close.

At the bank of the city of Christchurch is this beautifull pier which leads from a local library directly to the sea.

On the pier there are everyvhere benches and the places where fishermans can gut their catch. You can catch here whatever you want but it is forbidden to sell it.
Vojta and his fire passion for music
When Vojta needed to get rid of his old piano. He decided to burn it because nobody wanted it even free or in the recycling center.
Near the Christchurch centrum
A man almost wouldn't believe that he is almost in the center of city which has almost 400 000 people.
